Long-Lasting
Metal Roofing
Metal roofing delivers superior durability, energy efficiency, and low maintenance for homes and businesses. Kaiser installs high-performance metal roof systems built to last 40 years or more across Atlanta, Charlotte, and Cincinnati.
Standing Seam Metal Roofing Project
For this recent commercial roof installation, our team installed a high-performance standing seam metal roof system at a local fitness center. The project included removing existing panels down to the structural insulated panels and reinforcing the roof deck, along with installing a custom-tapered cricket system to improve drainage across low-slope transitions.
We applied a fully adhered 60 mil TPO membrane in critical areas before installing 24-gauge snap-lock standing seam metal panels with high-temp ice and water shield for long-term protection. New eave and rake trim, fascia metal, and drainage components were integrated to ensure proper water management and a clean, finished look. For projects that combine metal with membrane systems, see our TPO roofing and low-slope roofing options.
This combination of standing seam metal and flat roofing systems provides superior durability, energy efficiency, and low maintenance, making it an ideal solution for commercial buildings that demand long-lasting performance.
Why Choose Metal Roofing
Long Roof Lifespan
Metal roofs are among the longest-lasting roofing systems available, with a typical lifespan of 40 years or more when properly installed and maintained. Unlike asphalt shingles that may require replacement multiple times over the same period, metal provides long-term performance that reduces lifecycle costs. An excellent investment for property owners looking for durability and fewer disruptions over time.
Storm & Energy Efficiency
Metal roofs handle high winds, heavy snow loads, hail, and driving rain with superior resistance compared to traditional roofing options. For homes hit by severe weather, our storm damage team can assess your existing roof and recommend whether repair or replacement makes more sense. Metal also reflects solar heat rather than absorbing it, helping regulate building temperatures and improve energy efficiency.
Low Maintenance
Metal naturally resists mildew, moss growth, rot, and insect damage. Its smooth surface sheds debris and water efficiently, reducing buildup that leads to long-term damage. For property owners, this means fewer repairs, fewer inspections for problem areas, and a roofing system that performs reliably with very little upkeep over its lifespan.

Metal Roofing FAQs
Metal roofs are a great choice if low maintenance is a priority. Due to their durability, strength, and resistance to mildew and moss, metal can withstand high winds and hail better than traditional roofs. Metal roofs are also known for their long lifespan of 40 years or more, which means fewer replacements and lower lifecycle costs over time. For more on industry standards, see resources from the Metal Roofing Alliance.
Yes, metal roofing performs well in areas with heavy tree coverage. Leaves, branches, and debris are less likely to cause long-term damage compared to traditional shingles, and the smooth surface helps debris slide off more easily. This reduces the risk of moisture buildup and rot that can affect wood or asphalt materials.
Metal roofing is commonly used on ranch homes, barns, and rural properties because of its durability, long lifespan, and ability to handle wide roof spans. It also provides a clean, functional look that fits these property styles well and requires very little maintenance over decades of use.
Oil canning is a visible waviness or slight distortion that can appear in flat areas of metal roofing panels. It does not affect the performance or lifespan of the roof, but it can impact the appearance, especially on large, smooth panels. Choosing striated panels or a ribbed profile can help minimize the visual effect.
For most homeowners, especially on larger roofs, striated panels are the better choice. They provide a cleaner, more consistent look over time and help reduce visible imperfections caused by natural expansion and contraction of the metal in changing temperatures.
